BRAZILIAN FAMILY FARMING SEMINAR
 

Brazil’s family farming is constantly increasing its participation in the organic and sustainable market, reaching domestic and international markets.

The "Brazilian Family Farming Seminar" took place at Holiday Inn Hotel, Nuremberg. Germany , February 16, and presented many aspects of Brazilian Family Farming such as:

  • Brazil’s mega sociobiversity which attracts so many sustainable sector’s  international players
     

  • The wide range of products from Brazilian family farming
     
  • The Germam Brazilian cooperation's perception
     
  • The statements of  Family Farming Cooperatives that are exporting their produts
     
  • How the World Cup 2014 can be a unique opportunity to promote social and environmental business.
The "Brazilian Family Farming Seminar" had participants from different countries such as Germany, Dennmark, Italy and USA.

The networking lunch and the coffee breaks that were part of the Seminar's programme offered good opportunities to promote new contacts and to increase awareness of Brazilian Family Farming intitiatives.

The Seminar's presentation covered many aspects from Brazilian organic sector, since the Governement support to family farming to the Brazilian legislation that will increase the organic domestic market.

The successful German Brazilian cooperation's through GTZ was also presented.

The Brazilian Ambassador in Berlim, Ambassador Everton Vargas, did the Seminar's  closing remarks, highlighting Brazil's megabiodiversity and the business opportunities that Brazilian Family Farming can offer to a sustainable world.
